College Hoops 2K6 is an American college basketball video game which was initially released on November 21, 2005 for the Xbox and later released on the PS2 and Xbox 360. It was the first installment of the series to appear on a seventh generation video game console (in this case the Xbox 360). It also marked the first time since the original NCAA College Basketball 2K3 that the series was without an ESPN license. It features former UNC and current Atlanta Hawks small forward Marvin Williams, along with UNC head coach Roy Williams, on the cover.

In OPEN mode, you choose any team in the NCAA Division I without having to work your way up. In this mode, before the any season starts, you can edit your players attributes to make your team better. You can edit your players attributes every season if you want as long as it's before the actual regular season starts.
